2001 Chevy Camaro SS & 2007 Chevy Trailblazer SS - Street Heat
What a Trooper
Missouri State Trooper Mark Reynolds apparently didn't get enough of B-bodies while on the job, so he decided to take this '95 Impala SS home with him. A Powerdyne supercharger kit force-feeds the stock LT1, which needs Ford 30-pound injectors, a Racetronix 255lph fuel pump and MSD digital ignition box to keep pace. Tri-Y headers with Random Technology cats and a Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust have the LT1 breathing easy. Meanwhile an Edge 2800-stall converter and aluminum driveshaft add strength to the driveline, and put the power to a set of UMI lower control arms. Hotchkis swaybars and lowering springs help to make the hippo feel like a ballerina.
Nobody Messes With Da' Jesus
Jesus Loera of Dallas, TX lays claim to this 2002 WS6 Trans Am. The daily driver so far sports bolt-ons that include an MTI clear airlid, K&N filter, Pacesetter long tube headers, Texas Speed Y-pipe, and a Magnaflow exhaust. But he plans to soon complement them with a Magic Stick 3 cam, Shaner throttle body, and ported MAF. A 160-degree thermostat keeps the LS1 cool under pressure, while MSD plug wires and NGK TR55 plugs keep the chambers well lit. Torque Thrust 17x9 and 17x10.5 rims shod with meaty Sumitomo rubber are complemented by drilled and slotted rotors for acceleration and deceleration prowess. Soon a BMR suspension, 3600-stall converter and 3.73 gear will also add to its capabilities.
