In top-dog Unlimited, Ron Adee didn't let his one-mile Viper's hood problem deter him from putting on the big-boy pants and jumping into this concoction for the road race. The first leg's 29 miles were completed in 12:32; the second leg's 26 were over in 11:19. And Ron took the event's top honors, setting a new record with an average speed of 139.0 miles an hour!
