Loved LTX Shootout
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the LTX Shootout story! Yes it was overdue but worth the wait. I am always glad to see coverage of LT1-powered rides in any shape or form.

Ill Communication?
I noticed in your recent GTO magazine article (Head Poncho, Part 2, 9/08 GMHTP) that you used a Diablosport Predator. You also indicated that it is "worth it, especially if you intend to make future modifications down the road, such as injector size changes and tire size adjustments."

I just wanted to inform you that the Predator cannot adjust for tire sizes for the 2005/2006 GTOs, as it cannot communicate with the TCM that is in those vehicles. Yes, it is doable on the 2004 GTOs, because those have a single PCM that controls both the engine and transmission. But the 2005/2006 GTOs have a separate ECM for the engine, and a TCM for the transmission.

More Ink For Third-Gens!
I keep hoping for some third-gen F-Body content in your magazine. So, how about it, there must be a LOT more third-gen owners out there than Buick Turbo owners, and you still give them a lot of ink. I'm giving my current, heavily modded '89 GTA to my son and I'm going to build another one better, faster, stronger, and able to humiliate BMWs and the like in a blip of a gas pedal, going straight or around corners. So you have two third-gen fans right here, don't think about it, JUST GO FOR IT!!!!!
Thanks,
Dan Boren

Dan, when we go to all-makes events or the GS Nationals, we are bombarded by clean, fast, mag-worthy Buicks, which-along with the fact that we still have lots of Buick readers-is why we still feature them. However, we simply have not run into too many super clean and fast third-gens as of late. Sure, Jeff Blackburn's stellar '91 Z (April '05)-one of the nicest to ever grace a magazine's pages-is a high standard, but we aren't asking that every submission be that nice; we're only asking the third-gen community to send us pics of high-powered, high-quality third-gens, and we'll happily fulfill your request.

GMHTP Wish List
I always look forward to getting the magazine each month. I own a 2002 Camaro SS that I bought new in December 2001. The car now has about 35,000 miles on it, it is not a regular daily driver. I've had Doug Rippie Motorsports do some motor/suspension work on the car.

Three subjects I'd like to see articles on are:
1 Changing fourth-gen Cama-ro brakes to Corvette brakes
2 Installing Corvette seats in a fourth-gen Camaro
3 Real/true dual exhaust on a fourth-gen

Also, I think there should be some articles on making the car a little more custom and unique in appearance. Most of us know the LS1 motor is very fast.

Keep up the good work.
